New road projects are being planned for India’s Karnataka State and Maharashtra State. A US$228.56 million contract has been awarded to Sadhbav Engineering for the Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway. The route will be access-controlled and the deal was awarded by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
Meanwhile a $346 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will help provide financing for the Karnataka State Highways Improvement III Project (KSHIP-III). This deal was agreed with the Indian Government and the work includes widening and rebuilding bridges and carrying out widening of 419km of roads.
